Although everyone loves to gossip and drama does make life interesting at times. Prolonged disagreements will wear you down as well as those around you. The same goes for a guild. Simple things like what to run for what gear, or what to farm and what to quest, or when you need to help others and when do you ask for help, can cause a guild to crumble from within. I personally have some simple ideals for ensuring that my WoW time is time well spent.
Here are some things to remember while in a guild to avoid guild drama.
1. Play the game the way you want to. Don't let your guild mates demand that you re-spec or put pressure on you to always raid or instance when the guild does. You paid the same price for the game and pay month to month just like everyone else.
2. If you want to fly solo for a while, that is okay. We all need time to ourselves now and then.
3. This is just a game. Albeit the best game in history, but this is still something you do in your free time. Don't try to compete too much with each other about who is the best DPS, who is the "main" tank, best healer, blah, blah, blah. Just play the game as a team, and what you accomplish together is what matters most.
4. Gear is not as important as the experience. You bought the game to play it and not have great gear (or a cool blogspot - lol). The game is very well designed to give the player a wonderful experience that is unmatched in the industry. So don't forget to look around and "smell" the roses.
So, please enjoy one another...
